- Fine ground medium-dark espresso roast powder
- Whole milk
- Sugar (optional)
(What better way to prepare a traditional Italian beverage using a conventional Italian Moka pot.) Fill the Mokapot’s lower chamber with cold water.
Using a funnel, add the ground espresso powder. No need to tamp it down.
Screw on the upper part securely and heat the Moka pot on a stovetop at a low temperature.
Allow the espresso’s flavors to be fully extracted. Turn off the stove as soon as your foam appears at the brim of the spout. Your espresso is ready.
For frothing the milk, add one cup to a saucepan and allow it to heat up.
Using a whisk, start whisking the steamed milk until the desired foam appears. (This will take approximately 5-6 minutes) Turn the heat off and scoop out the foam.
In your coffee mug, pour in the espresso shot and add sugar if needed.
Pour over the remaining milk. Give it a good stir.
Lastly, top off the beverage with the prepared foam.
